Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

- Cab facility is good - Lunch & Breakfast option is there

...issues are mostly in UI department because the India UI head has attitude issue. Technically or managerially he is not justifying his salary and role. He knows very well that he is not going to get any job in the market. So that he is acting like dictator and setting his field according to his benefit. - Earlier BOLD was very good place but right now not. - Most of the UI managers are from Arts background(like Abhishek, Santosh...) but their designation are - Architect, Sr. Architect, Manager, Sr. Manager... Then you can think their attitude. - And many more points are there...

Nothing much to like. It WAS a good company but now its turning into an MNC with micromanagement at its peak.

Dislikes

Less pay. They recently merged UI and backend into one. All the EMs were from Backend so no scope for UI is left. They won't be promoted and the appraisal is peanuts.

No control of Indian Management, India Head and HR VP doesn't take any action. They are like personal assistant of senior management. Worried about their job due to very high salaries as per market norms.
