One of the very few pros of working at BDO India LLP is Hybrid work policy.

...ems very less needed as the work can be managed on weekdays if done efficiently. Even the salary is less as compared to standard, and the promised bonuses are not received on time. This may seem like a rant from a disgruntled employee but these are the things you can expect from BDO India when applying for a job.

The only thing to like about company is the big 5 tag. Company work culture is terrible.

... things to be disliked but I will put some - 1. There is zero work life balance. No overtime pay for stretched working hours 2. Employees are not getting proper respect and always bullied by management and always put pressure on employees for stretching the working hours. 3. There is no proper process, so that new joinees get proper training and sop 4. HR is the puppet of management and there for only name sake 5. Employees are overburdened with work in the name of cost cutting and so employees are asked to stretch atleast 80% of the days in a month. If employee denies is bullied and asked to resign 6. Management is too unprofessional here. 7. There were values of BDO previously but now no one follows them

Work life balance is average. Environment not toxic(below manager level).

Dislikes

Salary is very low. As compre to work pressure. Growth rate is negative. Increament rate is between 5-8% only. Depends on the working with partner.

...h in Employees family 2) No work life balance - 16 hrs a days even on weekends 3) Pay scale lowest as per industry standards 4) Poor leadership team - Most partners were directors of Big 4s and therefore lack leadership skills. 5) Laggard leadership team - Implement what is being implemented in Big 4 which is adverse for employees. 6) No training initiatives

Unlike in Big-4, there is no politics and work culture is good too. During lockdown, the work is more or less the same.

Dislikes

The overall pay is quite low for someone who is talented. Though, this is world's 5th largest firm but the gap is huge as compared to Big-4 and ultimately even if a person is more capable then a Big-4 employee, the ultimate market value is low. (PS: I have worked in Deloitte before) Therefore, it is seen as a downside in a person's career to work in BDO and not Big-4.
