The corporate (back end) culture of bata is remarkable.

...iven, force store managers to make false expenses and give that money to them. The salary packages for freshers is about 16k in hand with incentives around 24k. Even the sales promotor get 20k in hand without incentives No surprise that one day Bata is going face huge loss due to this

I worked 12 years in Bata and I liked it. Management is very good. There was tanning time to time which I used to learn lot.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high, I have to work 14 hours straight Saturday and Sunday and no convenes late night.

Company culture is good.. But salary increamnet process are very slow.. And merchandiser team support are not good

1. Office politics... Everybody thinks they are James bond, no one bothers to mind there own business... All are bothered about what the other is doing or thinking... Bosses make your colleagues call you and be on the concall silently and listen to the conversation... And the above is the culture in BATA, since AGES... DISGUSTING CULTURE.

Nothing to like in this company. Maybe the company may have good work culture outside India.But here it sucks big time.

I am really disappointed with the work culture. Only the Store Managers falls under company payroll and the other store associates falls under third party payroll and due to this,if there is any cash or stock shortage, the Store Manager becomes liable for everything. The store Manager has to pay from his pocket all the shortages,or else FIR will be raised from the company. Be careful, I have seen many SM suffering due to someone else's mistake . The company may seem like an MNC but in real life it's worse than a local Kirana shop.
