Couple of decades back, it was the best place to learn and learn more. One had every opportunity and freedom to be involved in most of the activities. Especially, when every manufacturing activity was in house, the engineers of those times (including me) could see and learn about the complete processes, of every aspect of manufacturing a vehicle. The learning curve was very steep and remained so for 2 decades. Seniors would encourage every such activity. Career growth happened without much prodding and HR was almost non-existent. Loyalty to the company was utmost, with job satisfaction at its highest peak.

Dislikes

...n of late on high packages and who intend to move out in a couple of years time. Loyalty to the job is only proportional to the pay and perks one is able to negotiate with HR. Work has become transactional, without any soul. Life has turned into a blur of power point presentations, rather than actual, factual ground work.

Work environment - Red Tapism, Bossism, no mentor ship Salary/ appraisal - Favor only to a group of people, High variable pay % in CTC, Which gets deducted in high % with the appraisal rankings and zero to last rank. Job security - High risk to lower ranked employees Career growth - Only to higher ranked people Work life balance is really not upto mark with Industrial benchmark Training - No focus on inculcating best practices across industries

Middle Management has no vision. And market knowledge. Field team has to teach and train them for meetings with superiors. Overall middle management is problem at Bajaj auto.
