Amex is the best company I have ever worked with, work culture, flexibility, compensation, management etc everything is superb

Amex few HR's never reply or help, when Amex ex -employee want to rejoin Amex they should help them by providing support & feedback needed. They should reply on time.

Terrible Rating and appraisal system. Also their designations are so limited that most people keep waiting for a promotion for years. (Unless of course you've buttered up your reporting manager)

Salary benefits, employee benefits, free cab, Free food, snacks. Tech team is awesome. Employees are friendly at first.

Dislikes

1.Managers are centric. In the name of support or help, just words. They get personal in the name of collaboration and 'blue box' values. 2.Professionalism is getting outdoors. Work is getting managed on personal calls. Long discussions on mobile because the manager has other priorities or may be time crunch. 3. Fake BRAND image when comes to culture and values. 4.Company is providing benefits but to leverage them the leader is not supporting. For my earned leaves, getting approval is not easy. 5.Employees staying here for 5-10-15 yrs. So they think they are the boss (fake swag). They can treat anyone with disrespect or say anything comes to their mind on calls or in person in the name of collaboration. 6. Politics is real here. Presentation of your work is more important here than work itself. Fake swag I told you. Never going to join this organization and recommend to anyone. Other teams/departments also has similar kind of opinion about their managers, and the culture. (Instances from cyber city gurgaon office building #5)

Compensation and benefits are awesome, they provide excellent peripherals to make your work from home comfortable and easy. Very good insurance policies and holiday benefits. Fair appraisals.

Dislikes

Company is not up to the standards of other American companies, people treat work as first priority, they work to meet the deadlines to impress others hence messing up their work-life balance. Unnecessary meetings and no growth, everything here is in-house application which even mastered will not be useful outside. Everything even useless issues are treated as top priority, if you prefer a job/work which is to impress higher management by showing dominance rather than your talent then it will suit you.

... ethics are the pillar which makes American Express a great company to work for. Market competent salary and benefits keep the employees motivated to work everyday here. And the job security is the parameter where an employee feel safe about the future.

There is nothing to dislike about the overall company.
