...e towards associates. No job security...they can fire you if you are tenured....coz they will have to pay you more while they can make more money by taking a new hire and pay him/her less.

... best. One of the very few companies that actually take care of their employees. Good cab facility, good cafeteria, excellent infrastructure, top tier work culture and salary gets deposited, always on time.

Dislikes

In Seller Support department the competition is too high. Yet often times I observed undeserving people getting promoted while people with really good leadership skills, excellent process knowledge and helping nature are still waiting and suffering under less knowledgeable, lazy and selfish supervisors. Chances for career advancements are considered a lucky break. Annual compensation yoy was very low (like all other MNCs) with the current year being a surprising exception.

The star rating is only specific to Amazon Chennai. It is not for any other entities of Amazon. I worked as FinOps Manager with Amazon Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune for almost 3 years. It took some time to understand the culture. What is Day 1, what is customer obsession, what is white paper and how it can be better than powerpoint. But within weeks, realised that I am working for one of the best companies in world. How every single person follow the Leadership Principles and deliver in their work. I was in love with Amazon and their culture. Due to lockdown I had to move to Chennai otherwise given a choice I would have worked with this wonderful organization (FinOps) forever

...not important if I am meeting targets. Learn and Be Curious is not for managers. Take Risk - why ? I am getting salary, comfortably sitting for 7 to 10yrs in the same team. Getting promoted, meeting metrics so why would I care about the Leadership Principles that Jeff believed . I have no regret of leaving Chennai Amazon. But it is a shame that I cannot work with Amazon because I opened up and spoke. This is again a principle that Jeff believed. Have Backbone, Disagree and Commit

Salary is good plus it's WFH so you can manage doing other tasks if you settle well with rotational shift

Dislikes

There's no job security and the hierarchy is shit. No one to hear your concern and they threaten to terminate you over silly reasons. The rotational shifts are too drastic and can be dangerous for health. If you're in urgent need of WFH and good salary then only go for it or else please stay away since there's no skill development, job security or anything.
