Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

...in social communication and helps in keeping a friendly atmosphere all the time. Amazon is a promising area for job security, salary and future . I really love working as a part of Amazon as it feels like my second home.

Dislikes

There is not such thing about disliking Amazon. One just can’t dislike it, as you get all the facilities that you can’t even imagine. I love the time in as an Amazonian.

I had a wonderful team to work with. All the managers and grpms are very friendly and easily approachable. I love the leave policy. The company culture is awesome.

Dislikes

Salary is not sufficient for call agents. Food could be free in cafeteria.

Amazon has the best work environment. Everything about Amazon is great. From the day one of your training to the work floor. The management is great, for me it was really great experience.

Dislikes

The package is kinda fine. They can improve but then there is alot of cost cutting here and there.

Good culture and they pay for overtime during peak season

Dislikes

Too much of politics in the company and specially for internal job transfer, they prefer women to occupy the posts as they follow the so called "DEI" policy. And the post that I am in right now, you have to be your managers favourite to grow or from the same community.
