Agoda fosters an amazing company culture however, you might get the shorter end of the stick basis your vertical and manager. While some teams have really supportive culture, verticals like TA is filled with managers who have become managers because they have been in the company since it's inception. Company also gives chance to relocate to it's many branches abroad and has some amazing events.

Dislikes

Salary is less than competitive, specially since the focus is on hiring expats. Work pressure is enormous. The culture you experience will depend purely on your team & manager. I have had both amazing and the worst experience in my tenure there. At the worst, my manager was manipulative and discouraging, and the leadership turned a deaf ear to it very conveniently.

I used to like working here but not anymore since the 'numbers' management moved in.

... work culture. Extreme micromanagement. Management whom does not want to listen. Company that victimize their own staff for the sake of saving on bonus payments. Zero possibility of promotion .

...hemselves and are often competing with each other instead of working together. Low pay - Payscale in the IT sector in Thailand isn't high, so while Agoda pays more in comparison to companies in Thailand, companies in India and elsewhere pay more.

From 2023 management changed ant maligned the culture, hire and fire is at peak also you can face rasicm. Old employee never encourages the new to grow they hide the core details for any legecy project.

Promotion not on merit but on favouritism. Managers don’t talk about growth on IC level for their team and try to pull them down causing demotivation and eventually resignation of the team member.
