Dislikes

New college grads (NCGs) do not have a say in which team they'd like to join in. Once joined, to be eligible for internal transfers one would need to work for a year. Regardless, the manager and HR collectively assess the profile of the candidate to determine a good fit. This is an issue for some people. Compensation for NCGs: Although the base pay is pretty decent, the CTC lacks an important component that normally forms a differentiator for the best students at universities (especially in India) - Stock benefits, and specifically - Restricted Stock Units. Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Adobe, Salesforce, and many other companies compensate their employees with RSUs. Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
