Pros: 1. Work-life balance is great 2. Students are really smart and a pleasure to teach 3. Campus is vast in a nice location Cons: 1. Govt. set up so lot of bureaucratic hiccups 2. Salary usually runs 10 days late 3. Even though a part of the campus is a heritage site, the overall maintenance of the infrastructure is poor

It a proper 9-5 job. It has wonderful work environment. If you are committed to the job, nobody bothers you for anything. There are no restrictions on eating timings or going to canteen or meeting your colleagues in free times. People are self disciplined. And you get all govt holidays.

There is sagnation after one point of time. The job is constractual so after the contract you are back to square 1.

Student are good.. And staff in the department was cordial

Dislikes

Poor management, bad decisions made by director, no respect to contractual faculties, salary is not same for all even though one has same qualifications. Some faculty got increased salary after meeting personally with director. Highly partial institute

Working in a pleasant atmosphere with an opportunity to grown continuously is the best experience at VJTI. The one who works here would be able to connect with a lot of faculty who have deep contacts in the industry and might help you get a better career growth. Travelling to the institute is very easy as its surrounded by stations like wadala, matunga and dadar in the vicinity.
