Inexperienced & useless NITians & IITians are in vedanta direct payroll & experienced more productive & highly skilled people are under contract companies in very less salary working for vedanta. And the contract companies are very useless and very bad cultured companies like Vaaman engineering india Ltd, RMPL etc are working with Vedanta.

For ground level workers & management department, it is very suitable. Because safety is the first priority of Vedanta. But we as a shift incharge, we are directly accountable for safety & production both department and for us , our job gives us daily a new challenge. Because we have to complete our job 100% with 100% safety compliance. Any type of safety non compliance is not tolerate by management as well as production. But if you maintain full safety than your job security will be 100%. Behaviour of colleges are very good....Read More

People are not cooperative,no one likes to take risk just passed to other and after incident those people give bad word to shift incharge

Remuneration is good. Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. Safety standards are well maintained.

Dislikes

1. Poor management policies. 2. Location is very bad. I was placed at Lanjigarh, Orissa. Probably one of the most remote location one can ever imagine in India. Nothing exists beyond township. So life goes all around plant and township.

I have the following offers: 1. Exl - 24 lpa fixed + 12% variable + 2 lakhs joining bonus Position - manager 2. Infinite computer solutions - 30 lpa fixed 3. Deloitte - Still negotiating trying for 30-35 lpa I am prioritizing long term employment as well as personal/ professional growth as I have major family responsibilities coming ahead in next year.
