A good place to start out for a fresher. UnitedLex certainly gives recognition to good employees, including the freshers and this is commendable. The office culture/atmosphere is also somewhat on the casual side making it easier for the new employees to ease into. All in all, experience here makes for a meaningful stepping stone.

Dislikes

The salary was not good as such. Despite the fact that you did the same work as the other permanent employees, employees on fixed term hire earned lesser. Also, owing to the monotonous nature of work, the growth remains stagnant. The scope for promotion and even getting a permanent posi tion is also narrow. The contract employees get their contracts extended and so there is no job security as such until the opportunity, which is few, arises to apply for the permanent position. Hopefully, the situation has changed by now. Another downside was the stretches in work hours; although never made a direct compulsion, the pressure from the upper tier to opt for the stretches made it seem otherwise. As an associate on fixed term hire basis, you get to review documents, before they go through a quality check, on the basis of the client's requirements. Based on the consistency and quality of your work, you get to move on to working on Quality Checks
