Actually Diageo is a good company to work with , but their strategy towards united spirits ltd employees, gone absolutely wrong...

Terrible , there is no job security in United Spirits . Just to raise company's profit ratio , they sack employees without notice / without proper reason, who invested their carrier more than 10- 15 years .... as an employee you cannot plan anything as "today you are there , tomorrow is a big question mark "..... i really failed to understand what 's our so called political leaders doing - no one is interested in middle class people's problems...because they are not vote bank......Read More

Excellent culture, excellent peers, very employee friendly organisation. I faced issue with unnecessary politics and poor leadership in some places however I got to see what a great manager looks like. Overall I was very satisfied with USL

Company says very openly about premiumisation and selling quality over quantity. However USL's main product McDowell's no. 1 is not a premium whisky and while no. 1 is the most sold whisky in India, USL does not see a long future in McDowell's. As such it is closing a no. of factories and retrenching many workers. It even sold a lotof smaller less profitable brands. The overall strength of the company has been cut by 70% in the last 10 years alone and company closing so many factories with more in pipeline. As one of the senior managers put it USL leadership does not have a clue on what to do with iconic brands like McDowell's. As such if someone wants to have a company where they can work for more no. of years, they should look elsewhere as there is lot of uncertainty in Supply....Read More
