Job security and work-life balance are both excellent.

Beware of managerial bias during time of appraisal/promotion. You are expected to please every manager other than your line-manager to stand a chance at promotion. Additionally, company has capex for instruments and infrastructure but not for rewarding employees. This however is a recent trend since COVID. Pre-covid, the policies were much more employee-friendly.
