your job will not come with a scope of learning, systems and processes are old, and people are not much inclined to move to new tech as most staff is 35-40+ and just counting days to retirement. There are no promotion opportunities because of the existing staff that chooses not to leave. They won’t let you learn new skills and applythem on the job because that would mean for them to learn that skill or be outperformed by you.
