Working for a brand like The Indian Express is always a satisfying experience. It was great being part of the buzzing newsroom and the quality product.

Dislikes

I worked with The Indian Express for 12 years. Growth and compensation were good in the initial years but it got stagnated later on. The company doesn’t value its loyal employees, taking them for granted most of the time. If you do something better than others, chances are you will be doing the same thing during your entire career there. So, an employee’s personal growth remains negative.

I had a good leadership profile, but had been doing almost the same thing for almost 10 years. Wanted to try new things, so moved out.

Yes, the company was good but Jammu centre, where I was working, was always overburdened and understaffed...As a result, we had more work pressure and less appreciation

Dislikes

Work pressure was high and growth too slow. Generally, I had worked for 14 hrs straight and without offs for years together. Other centres across the country enjoyed the privilege of working 5 days week. Though, my Delhi bosses used to appreciate my work but they went unnoticed in my mid term appraisals
