The only Bank in Assam Managed by Assamese people, one of the oldest if not “the oldest” Bank in Assam established in 1948 .

Dislikes

Management should regularly monitor the CPI of the country and lack of training provided to employees.

Well because of state government stake, there is job security as well as handsome salary also.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issue. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. On the job training is not given to new joiners.

Work Details

Quite interesting. As I am new to this organisation so I am struggling a bit as there is no formal training session here. Also as I am not Assamese so there is bit of language problem here.

Opportunity to improve the Bank drastically which is plagued with numerous problems.

Dislikes

No Independence. Lot of interference in day to day functioning, Political involvement, poor quality of people, poor computer literacy, lack of requisite talent, unionism, low product & services, bad infrastructure etc etc
