Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?

Nothing as of current date, as TCS is increasingly becoming a violent organisation, against employees health and well-being.

Dislikes

Honest Reviews about TCS: 1. There is no increment for the first 2 years. For example, if you join now (April 2024), you will receive your first increment in April 2026. 2. The increment percentage averages around 4-5%. If you are in the C band you get 1-1.5% hike and for D band, your salary will decrease by around 10-12%. This is terrifying 🤯. 3. TCS is now mandating employees to work from the office for 5 days (9 hours per day inside ODC i.e., break timings not included, like Cognizant or WIPRO policy, very rude, has never done before) 4. HIS WAS one of the top-notch perk of <mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">being a TCSer. But, from this FY, the premiums have sky-rocketed and co</mark>-pay (7.5% - 10%) has been introduced making it less useful, definitely not top-notch like before. 5. Employees in grade C3 or higher always get 20-50% of their total QVA, regardless of performance. 6. Now TCS has Linked QVA with WFO. If you don't come to office, will get zero QVA. Such a rude , aggresive policy. 7. TCS is a cheater, they promised full WFH policy, then 25-75 model - now they forget every promise. They are utilising the current bad market to force employees to follow these toxic policies. K. Kirtivashan is literally deteriorating the brand value of TCS after becoming the CEO....Read More
