They seem to make up rules whenever they feel like it, and if they don't like something you're doing, they'll just make a new rule to stop you. The "MARKETING HEAD" , Dyuti Shah, might seem nice at first , but after a while, you'll see her true colors. The HR department is pretty unresponsive - they won't answer your emails or calls/text, except when they want something from you. They put all the blame on individual employees, even if its not fair. The senior staff and HR don't really support you, so you might feel pretty hopeless. Plus, they give you to work every day and expect you to work long hours like from 10 am till 10 pm with no lunch breaks with no worklife balance. One time I was not able to pick a call and the manager said I was not working that day to the hr it just makes the job more chaotic and timewasting. They don't outright say it, but there's a lot of office politics going on. If you're not in top position, you'll never really see the full team, and in meetings , everyone just stares at their screens. This company appears to value relentless work ethics over employee well-being, having a toxic work environment. My manager got upset when he/she got to know my salary. They want to get their work done at any cost if you want to take a leave you can't or they shout multiple times throughout the day. They expect us to function in multiple departments, whether it burdens us or they blame us for doing our job. employees have to make their schedule as the manager like till very late every day which hampers the social life outside the company. The best thing about being in TalentGum as a teacher is unlike other Edtech you have fixed basic pay and on top of it you get incentivised too. If your performance is good no issues you'll find.

Dislikes

The syllabus needs to be designed properly with having a proper discussion with teachers so an easy to explain yet attractive classes can be conducted.

Nothing. It's a horrible place to work. The teachers are penalised and even if there is a death in your family, they will not waive off the notice period (1 month) and they will not pay you for the days you worked also. Most inhumane and slave driven practices and culture.

Everything. Their policies are slave driven and they will disclose it only after you join so that they can enforce their policies to make money.

Terrible Experience at Talentgum No Management: Felt like we were running around with no direction. No clear goals or strategies. Salary Issues: Frequent delays in salary payments, causing major financial stress. Excessive Pressure: Unrealistic targets and constant pressure to perform, leading to burnout.
