Peak in office Politics, The management will delay the appraisal cycle for an indefinite time period without any reason or prior notice. A fresher will join as a Graduate Engineer Trainee for 6 months period and the management will increase probation period (4-5 months) without any communication and reason. Worst case they will firethe candidate before the completion of probation period (50% chances). The management won't give you any concrete answer to any of the queries related to appraisals, promotion and conversion (intern -> full-time) they will simply reply "We are looking into it".
