I've enjoyed my role as a UX Designer. The company offers learning tools and plenty of opportunities to grow professionally and take on exciting security challenges. The team's cooperation makes even tough projects manageable, and the leadership is very supportive.

Likes

The design team is awesome- super creative and collaborative. I love that company encourages out-of-the-box thinking and innovation. Plus, the hybrid work setup means I can work from home when I need to. The free LinkedIn Learning access is also a great way to upskill and stay ahead of trends.

Dislikes

Sometimes the work can get a little monotonous , especially during slower periods. It would be great to have more cross departmental collaboration to mix things up a bit. Also, the internet allowance could be bumped up a bit.

Sirion has a great work environment with collaborative colleagues and a strong focus on new ideas brought to the table. There's a lot of brainstorming which happens within the team on what we can do better as well. I have my weekly connects with my manager where I can speak about what's going well and what can improve.

I joined Sirion 2 years back and I have gotten the chance to work on some very interesting projects. I joined here as a fresher and now its been a while. I have been given a chance to work on modules related to GEN AI. I can easily communicate with my Manager and Heads as well.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
