I have spent a little more than a year in selling. I'm a B Pharmacy graduate and started my career with a giant pharma last year and worked there for 6mths and for last 9 mths with Signutra. Experience with the first company was not that great as they were doing unethical practices. I wouldn't like to share the name as practices were not across India but at few locations influenced by managers and peers. When I joined Signutra. I was a little apprehensive as its relatively small but with a reputation of being agile and good culture. When I joined, I was taken with both the hands. My ANM is a true mentor. This company works on basics. They just tell you to have focus on working on right doctor, find right detail about the doctors, meet them with desired frequency and have right inclinic impact. This company is absolutely averse to wrong practice and has zero tolerance. If you can't work hard and are looking for short cuts, pl don't join. My Initial few months were challenging as I had joined at a base less than 50K. The territory has high potential but it was not worked well in past. It was indeed a good opportunity for me. My manager was in connect with me on daily basis since day one. He would guide me on daily work planning, handling dieticians and doctors queries, helping me at retailers and stockists. He would religiously work with me for 5 to 6 days in a month. All the managers in this company lead from the front they will prefer to go to tough nuts likes oncologists, endocrinologists, Intensivists etc. My manager would spend a lot of time in doing role play, teaching me product knowledge concepts and how to present them in doctor's chamber. Every month, my manager would give me verbal and written feedback on my progress and share the clear expectations for the month. His attitude reflected as if its a joint objective. He helped me convert many doctors. In fact in this company, RNM and NSM will also work with you frequently. Their style of interaction with colleagues during field work or in cycle meeting or even with customers reflect their class and rich experience. I am really thankful to all my managers. Its because of them I have been able to reach close to 2 lacs sales and confident of reaching 4 to 5 lacs soon. Product of this company are world class and have been formulated with global giants in nutrition like Duopont. The salaries are comparable to other good companies however incentives are truly truly awesome. Deserving people gets promoted fast. It has a great culture to work in . The way its going, soon in few years, it will be another big giant. I am happy I joined it and will encourage others to join it....Read More
