People who don't even understand ML have taken promotions and are leading the project as technical architect. Promotions are a joke here. My manager has zero understanding about ML and was converted from business analyst to Machine Learning Engineer and now leads the team (This is not a joke). There is absolutely no work life balance here. Management doesn't have a clue of what they are doing. The leads commit unrealistic deadlines and you have to work over the weekends to meet them. The HRs don't even tell you how the performance rating algorithm works. My HR once told me they 'cannot reveal it'. The increments are peanuts. You'll have to work on multiple projects at once because there's a lack of resources always. Why ? Because people keep quitting because of such toxic environment ! Forced work from office where can only go for 2 hrs and checkout still they won't allow work from home, it doesn't make sense to move to a new city only to travel 2 hrs to reach office, spend 2 hrs in office and travel back. Very low appraisals, no recognition of the work done, no perks.

Poor Management, Biased Managers, Nobody guides with right path for progressing in the company. Layoff people without prior notification withing 30 mins of call. They give very good hike while joining and after joining hike is not more than 8-11%. Work life balance is worst if ur in burning project,management ask you to work from 11 am to 3 am at night till the project state is in good state.
