Hiring and firing, humiliation from manager without any reason, unpleasant surprise with immediate termination without any reason or notice, in the name of contract pick level of exploitation. No personal growth, No quality audio production. Most of everything politics in work place.

I do my breakfast luch and dinner with family, i can play with my dog, i live with my family so Work from Home is the biggest advantage tgat company gives to ots employees. Secondly, managers listen to ideas, and if they find the idea worth, it will be applied and you will be appreciated for that.

The culture is a bit vague, Pocket FM seems be gradually shifting from a startup to a full blown corporate, hence one can see a lot of things changing on day to day basis. Alot of ambiguity and lack of trust on you, all the time you will be feeling as if something or the other is coming for you. Micromanagement is at its peak, not seen a company where a AVP level person inquires and distrusts an executive level employee in such details. Last but not the least, company has IITians fetish, it makes you feel that if you are not an IITian you may have worked in the industry for many years but your worth is questionable. Main product of the company is a piece of content in Audio format, but at the end an IITian will have the power to take decisions that too on creative level, which is fine but when you know the better ways to do it, nobody will ask you because you dont hold an IIT degree....Read More

I got a decent salary but most of my colleagues were highly underpaid.

The culture is very toxic. I worked for hindi content team as an Audio Engineer and i was expected to work and have no opinions. Every time I would raise a question or disagree, the managers would go on a frenzy about team work and hard work. The engineers with the least experience are made your leads just because they are easy forthe managers to control. All creative roles including writers, editors and audio designers are treated as labour and are heavily looked down upon by the managers. Its an audio company with Audio Engineers at the bottom of the food chain. Management is very poor and their deliverables and procees changes every month. You will have no work for 2 weeks and then suddenly you will get work of 2 months and managers will ask you to complete it in 2 weeks. It’s the biggest management failure if you cant maintain a continuous and sustainable workflow. You will waste so much time on pointless meetings and the managers will themselves be late. It doesnt matter if you are an expert at your role, if you cant be a yes man to the managers, you wont get promoted and will be asked to leave in the next lay off cycle- which is every 3-4 months btw....Read More

I narrated several shows for them throughout the years-not once did they mention a raise. I found out through other sources that they were hiring new talent at a much higher rate than I was being paid 3 years in. I was expected to deliver hours of recording daily. No weekends, no time off, no sick days aloud- you gotta deliver the daily audio no matter what. They will not recognize your work, give positive feedback or guide you on anything. If you hear from them, its just critical. At pocketfm you are treated like a machine not a human. I heard they use AI voiceover now, that must be more in line with the type of output they are after. All in all it's hard for me to think of a worst work experience as a voice actor in 6 years than I've had with pocketfm. I do not recommend....Read More

Extremely rude people have no professional work culture, job security is 0 and no stability. Disrespectful and mentally torturing, employees are 'baggage' and not a part of the company and there is no respect for anyone's work. Impossible tasks are asked and yet after delivered still there is no appreciation and respect for the same. I been working here only 3 months, i informed them beforehand that I am a clg student and require flexibility I work at night and I work on sats and Sundays I matched the targets so far even when I lacked I caught up by next week now they are telling me that me working at night is an issue,if they had informed me this I wouldn't have quit my last job to join here cause they provided me flexibility and good pay also there work flow is not streamlined and have a lot of issues been 3 months all I have been doing is correcting old mistakes...Read More
