Optum IT Service Desk Leaders spend more time in politics, than focusing on the customers and the service delivery. (especially the leaders from Philippines.) The directors , sr. Directors and vice president have no idea what is really going on with their teams. They are least worried about the employee satisfaction, carrer pathing.All they do is just spend time in saving their jobs, and throwing others under the bus to save themselves. A great place to work. extremely happy that I joined Optum. It has the best infrastructure and job security is 10000%. Salary always on time. Most projects has good work life balance unless your in production support. Less layoffs compared to other companies

Optum is really a great organisation to work. Many benefits including work Life balance, can facility, hybrid model, very supportive colleagues and senior management is also very empathetic.

I personally felt that optum is not good if you want to grow fast or want timely promotions.

Doesnt care for your technical abilities, even though you are quite experienced in a tech stack, in the name of re-org, they will add you to a team where the tech stack is completely different and dont value your proficiency and skill set.

Well, it's good company as a thought. However the management would make sure that your hate the every bit of your life with them. Since they want to make numbers in front of the leadership. The Transport department and the way things are handled is terrible. Everyone is on the ego trip. It would only be a good company only if you are a sdm and above. Rest are used as pawns by the same people. And they would make sure that their instrests remain protected by any means possible. They pretend to care for people, while it's opposite.
