Promotions and good increments are hard to come by. Easier to get higher pay if you have competitive offers or just leave the company and return after 1-2 years. Work pressure is high in certain periods.

Depending upon the department and team you're in: Nice culture overall. Good salaries and decent increments. Flexibility to work from home. Good technology exposure. You get to walk the talk (hands-on work even at senior positions) rather than just talk.

Dislikes

Some departments and leads spoil the culture by delaying promotions, micromanaging (even VPs are micromanaged by their leads), dominating, mandating work from office, and keeping unrealistic deadlines. Also, EDs won't participate at all in designing a solution. Umm, what is their purpose then? Just put the blame on VPs and find flaws later. - You get to work on different projects and technologies allowing you to explore and learn. - MSCI currently have startup culture where networking is key, various events are organized for this and you are given project responsibility to make you leader and own project. - Seniors and even manager is always ready to help. - No restrictions on leaves given that you complete your work on time.

Dislikes

- Since MSCI works in startup culture, to someone it might feel overwork but that's the plus. This gives you opportunity to learn and wear multiple caps.
