I had heard numerous commendations about this company before joining, but unfortunately, they appear to have been either exaggerated or applicable only to different areas in this company. The only limited discussions with the manager revolve around health. All throughout the time in the company, it became evident that she attempts to offset a lack of technical expertise with various other strategies, which becomes increasingly apparent to everyone in the team. Conversations with nearly all team members reveal a concerning reliance on a select few individuals, this dependency is particularly troubling for those seeking opportunities for growth within the organisation. There has been no substantial technical guidance provided by the manager, and it has come to light that she struggled to effectively mentor team members due to the severe lack of market research expertise. Feedback tends to be broad and lacks in heated expertise necessary for practical execution. While work hours are reasonable, the stress levels endured by new joinees to appease senior people in the team are a significant concern. There are multiple parameters that these incompetent people across the organization use to evaluate people working on reports. I'll list all of the pointers one by one that i faced in my short tenure in the organization. 1. I was hired as an analyst with past experience with market estimations, client handling, client calls, projectoperations, and others. Here at Mordor, during my interview i was asked if i had hands-on experience in the aforementioned parameters, to which i confidently described positively. However, once i was enrolled and post my training sessions, i was given only report write ups throughout my probation. 2. Here, there is no editing/reviewing team, whatever you do in a project, on the day of project dispatch, these incompetent people will allocate quality check to random people from the team, who would have zero knowledge about the project, and these people will give comments over the write up. And post the delivery of the project, these incompetent people will provide ratings of the person who had worked on the particular section, to which mostly i was given an average of 3 out of 9 since i had left reporting writing from past 2 years. 3. This became the reason for the extension of my probation period. On my discussion in three months completion with the manager/project leads, i kept my point to as they should evaluate me on the parameters that i am experienced with but they never took an action. 4. Hence, on the day of my probation ending, i get a call from these incompetent people that i am being layed-off due to my performance isssues. Well if you judge a fish by the ability to climb a tree, i think we all know how incompetent these people at Mordor are. 5. The people who have started their career with this company from 2020 onwards (since the company introduced complete work from home), they do not have etiquettes to how to talk to a senior or junior, however this is the least of my concern. The company's work culture is highly toxic, and these incompetent people have an inferiority complex towards people who know more than them. To which they use their politics and power to make people leave the company. I would recommend if someone is thinking to start their career with this company, i'd highly recommend not to join the company or else you'll learn nothing and your resume will be ruined completely....Read More
