MSIL is good in terms of job security, market exposure, learning opportunities & variable pay. At senior-manager level you will be eligible of a car; but it will be taken as granted further by your senior. Nothing more good than that.

The working culture of MSIL has de-graded over the time combining lot of factors like- no peer support & leadership, blame-game, unjustified work deadlines, imbalance work distribution, you are suppose to work since start of production at 6am to 12pm in SC, over time has become passion now to show off & some people have to sit for the sake of his boss ego, politics at worst, unhealthy competition, make subordinates fight & rule policy, while dealing with vendors; peers want sub-ordinates to be harsh on them & later they become goodie-2 spoiling your image, If you are not good in pleasing (don't join); most of the seniors are working since more of govt. culture was prevailed (same DNA is being passed on further & very soon you will also become like that) you will start feeling toxic & aggressive (welcoming high BP & hypertension). I think there is no reason of dislike but as we know we are human that's why we judge so worker use their mobile phone at a time of work......I think it should be improved only by complement by supervisor only.... don't take it personally......if I made a mistake then sorry for that ... .

As an intern you can learn many things there in any field you want to do job and you can learn about different processes of different departments.

Many of the senior employees are diploma passout and they are at higher positions and do not take their work seriously and give them to their junior and they are looking for some interns.

Pathetic work culture in sales- Promotion is not at all KRA driven but upon managers discretion Transfer policy totally unfriendly to all even high performing employees Bureaucratic nature of work with no power to an employee - you just communicate what seniors have told- and even share the blame of others. No work life balance . Very bad for growth as well. Forget your personal life. Very stagnant. Low pay you will literally get just 50 thousand in your account coming out of NIT & IIT and no it will not increase just maybe 10 k a year increase. Also expect coming on Sunday as well in the name of incentives. The alpha that you get is based on your leave attendance which means you can’t even take the mandatory leaves that the company has assigned. Also no switch can be made inter department. Ironically people from private colleges like Thapar get comfortable departments like supply chain and IIIT’s have to work as line incharge and you have no say in it. They will not change anything. In Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, we get multiple opportunities for upgrading our skills. Regular sessions, activities and events are planned. Responsibilities are given in such a way that we are able to work upon our weak areas and are able to learn new things.

Work life balance is not here. Usually I open my laptop at 7 AM to download reports & data, and my day ends at 7:30 - 8:00 PM. Month end is more hectic.
