My Experience at LG I had one of the worst experiences in my 6-year corporate career. Despite working with over 60+ brands globally, I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism and support. I work as a Brand Designer, and part of my role involves shooting training videos for LG's EDX learning portal. One day, while filming a video at LG Academy, I was instructed by my PTL to capture a wider-angle shot to ensure everyone was included. However, the training room lacked sufficient space, so I adjusted my position by leaning back in my chair—ensuring I got the best shot while maintaining quality. During the shoot, the HOD (Head of Department) walked in and immediately questioned my sitting posture. Before I could explain, my TL and PTL stepped in and simply apologized to the HOD, asking me to leave. Instead of backing me up and explaining the situation, they prioritized pleasing the HOD. What’s even more frustrating is that LG did not provide a tripod, a camera, a mic, or even a good phone for video recording. Despite these limitations, I was still committed to delivering high-quality content. But instead of recognition, I was given a warning —simply for following instructions and trying to add value to LG's training videos. The lack of understanding and support in my department was shocking. It seems like people here do not have knowledge of the work yet act as if they do. Worse, the team lacks the courage to explain things to higher management, fearing unnecessary consequences. If you're looking for a company where your efforts are recognized, your skills are valued, and your team supports you, LG may not be the right place. Here, even if you do nothing wrong, you might still have to stay silent and apologize.
