I have worked with some great managers and leaders who have always supported and let me maintain my work-life balance. I had learning opportunities instead of working on any redundant repetitive tasks, I have worked on different different tech areas.

Dislikes

1. No financial growth, though for almost the last 3 years I have given my 200% on whatever task has been assigned to me, I have received negligible hike and no promotion. 2. In 2024 because of the company situation multiple silent layoffs happened and multiple shuffling of a team, 3 times in 3 months to be precise which is not professional and makes employees stressful unnecessary.

The companies culture is infiltrated with people who were there in the parent organisation for about 25-35 years which has declined the quality of the work. They build things for their growth and are least bothered about the company's progress. These people in the top management and responsible for the lack of growth of other invididuals.

Kyndryl is people oriented and offers a great place to work, my experience with managers was always fantastic and they treat with respect. There is also a culture of innovation where you can bring your ideas to limelight and even patent them. Leadership is also friendly and open minded

I kind of like all aspects but for the sake of the same I would call out you may not always be able to work on the most modern technologies always because it depends on the clients infrastructure and systems

Moreover, managers especially at higher levels (executives) don't pay much time to listen to their reportees, even if its heard at times nothing much other than diplomatic answers come out. Salaries need to be in Par with the industry, also we have been only looking at certifications to address the skill gap in the last one year so there is no opportunity for other certifications. Promotions have not been happening in regular cycles, we have approvals from account teams for progressions however the % of promotions at each of the business units are very less and this is bringing in lot of dissatisfaction amongst top performers. The idea of Flat, Fast & Focus is not really being followed, there are still many approvals required even for the smallest requirement. We are not working as one kyndryl, each business unit has its own policies for eg - utilization targets are different, resource allocations are again based on different markets and makes it very difficult for movement between markets, the affordability ID should be completely removed to ensure we have good resource movements and opportunities....Read More
