Being in a Defence service, you have opportunity to Excel in your chosen field and as one gets an opportunity to interact with plethora of people, one gets diversity in achieving experience and thus is able to prove his potential to the fullest of his satisfaction .

Dislikes

Being a sea going service ,one has to be away from family for extended period and there is no certainty of when he can stop working and go home when his ship is at harbour. He can be called any time for duty without any explanation,thus us bounded by strict law and regulations, this us when he is posted on board a ship. There is rotation of posting, but for a certain period say for 10-12 years, his life will be tough as he would mostly be employed on board a ship. After nearly 10-12 years, he may get opportunity to serve ashore wherein, he may have relaxed life and can enjoy company of family....Read More
