I joined Hungerbox 2 years back and I must say that it is an best company in which I have worked earlier. During this covid 19 situation when lots of companies are removing their employees but we are still working and getting our salaries on time there are some deduction as well but still we are getting that much in which we can servive so this is an good thing about my company Hungerbox. I was very much in fear during lockdown that my job will be remain or not? But see still its safe and secure by qoute of our best Sandipan sir who is leading our team from front. Nothing to like about this company if you are from Hotel Management or Hospitality Background. Yes if you are a fresher from bcom or any other field, It ok to start your career with this sort of company

Worst Management. Hungerbox top management don't support their own staff infront of the vendor. When it comes to choosing HB employee and vendor, they go with vendor. They recruit Hotel Management Candidates stating that they operate corporate cafeteria. But the fact is, they just have an app which helps the employees to place the order in cafe. So Hotel Management Candidates with ot without experience should avoid joining this company. You will spoil your career and skills over here. They don't even let you go inside the kitchen and tell the vendor/chef about any food complaint or food readiness. You are not allowed to scold any vendor staff if they make any mistakes. You are expected to just observe the operations, refill the crockery/cutlery, and just check if there is any problem in the app. None of the staff over there is from HM background. Every single guy over there just speaks about tech and not food. If at all you scold the vendor or vendor complaints about you to the management, instead of investigating whether it's vendor's mistake or yours, the management will change your site or ask you to leave. They don't even have a office in Mumbai. Theor office is located in Bangalore. There is no HR in Mumbai who could be of your help in such conditions. There is no physical existence of this company in Mumbai apart from their Operational sites. The culture is bad, from top to bottom, unsafe place for women, abusive bosses, office environment is not healthy and lot of politics. There are old players in the company who don't let the new staff prosper. They are Understaffed hence employees are overworked and zero personal life not even Sundays. Free food. It has a pretty relaxed work culture, but it depends on your manager. Bangalore has a more relaxed culture compared to other cities.

Dislikes

Almost everything. No proper hierarchy or structure, very low & delayed increments/salary hike. Nothing is fixed, same role & same experience, two different candidates will get extremely different salaries. Avoid this company, work only if you have no other option or are looking for a relaxed company with hardly any learning or growth.
