- Initial compensation is at par with most companies of the same domain. - Job security for low-medium band employees. If your team is out of work, you will be accommodated in some other team. This does not apply for higher band/management level employees. - Office infrastructure is appealing.

Dislikes

- Freshers are usually hired as interns from colleges and bluntly put into some random team in some random project. No one cares about the strengths of the candidate and no effort is put in to finding an appropriate team for the candidate. - As I have been a part of Madurai HTS (Aerospace domain), my review is basically about Madurai location. However, do not expect much of a difference in other locations like BLR/HYD. Madurai employees are looked down upon by the rest of the sites (and rightly so). - Office politics at its peak. I have never heard of caste-based discrimination in a software firm, but in Madurai its very evident. To climb up the ladder you should first and foremost be a Tamilian. A specific caste among the Tamilites has better chance of progressing than the rest. - The sort of work and the tools and technologies used in Aerospace domain here are outdated to say the least. Working here will get you nowhere. After working here for 3 years now, i feel so stuck that I do not have the confidence to apply elsewhere. I feel do not have enough experience to show the 3+ years I have spent here. - Promotions are not based on performance. Neither is the annual hike. No other benefits/compensations for the extra hours you put. All you get is a 'Thank You' card. - Work environment is as mundane as the technologies they use. Fun events are conducted on Fridays just for namesake and nobody actually cares about it. - International travel opportunities are there but again, for preferred people. The rest of us are content by having the chocolates the travelers bring back. - No innovation in Aerospace domain at least. Other domains are better off. - Work-life balance who? Weekend support is expected through out the year. - Training is mostly On-Job. - No recognition for employee's efforts. In fact, higher management hogs on engineer's efforts and recognition hardly ever flows down. - Cafeteria in Madurai location is pathetic. Only south-indians can survive....Read More
