Lot of Dirty Politics at Honeywell Bangalore, some Engineering Managers are incompetent, they dislike those software engineers who graduated from premier Indian Colleges like IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and NITs (National Institute of Technology), and so they plot against them by giving only those employees lot of work to do such that they have to sit and work for long hrs a day including weekends, even worse is those employees can't clock in more than 8 hrs a day in timesheet....Read More

I joined honeywell as third party , I joined as replacemnt of maternal leave employee , she will come one year later, honeywell HR directly give me layoff without informing they havent inform me about my period will end in 6 month , and even they dont agree to extend because of cost saving, i tried at list they need to speak before1 or 2 month, suddenlt they give me LWD. still I am searching struggling beacause of this. they do this in this month of diwali, I am suffering a lot. Few teams have good learning curve. Flexible timings at office

Promotions and hike cycle is not good, it's even difficult to get double digit hikes at times. And the sad part is these hikes are not dependent on the work you do, rather on the rapport you have with your manager and being very strict on your demands of year on year hike. I didn't see my work speak anytime during my tenure here. No flexible component in compensation as well, very less benefits.

It is as usual as it is in other companies. Processes are established a little bit since the company is old still there are many domains in which processes are yet established.

Dislikes

A lot of politics. There is no foolproof system or process of evaluating the performance of employees. For example, I delivered 230% performance last year and I got 7% hike and my other colleagues who delivered 80% to 90% performance too got the same hike. Many managers are not capable of evaluating the performance. Hence employees who are buttery get the benefit. Those who are talented but slightly disagree with the senior managers in terms of how the work should be done, such employees suffer. The system and processes are exceptionally great and data availability is easy. It helps to be more strategic and analytical without wasting time on data arrangement.

Dislikes

Too many calls and work life balance is challenging across all the functions. No employee benefits apart from decent salary which doesn't help Honeywell to stand out in the market. Campus is average old style with big parking challenge.

Honeywell had been my second home, work life balance and work culture is very good. However it is not as good as it used to be few years ago. Post pandemic things have changed and there is a fear of job loss.

After working for 10 years, i was asked to leave stating downsizing due to structural change in organisation.

Job security is there. Lot of opportunities for overseas assignments and learning. Focus on developing soft skills. Multinational company so get to work with employees across globe. Overall it’s good company to start your career which will shape you in a good professional. If your soft skills are great then there is chance to slowly grow your career in company.

Dislikes

Low salary increments and terrible promotions. Manager heavy company. Much more managers are there to manage projects and employees than actual working employees.

Likes

Excellent learning opportunities. Great work life balance. Very nice upper management.

Dislikes

The Pune office is not good. Facilities are not at par canteen, parking, location and other basic facilities are poor.
