I applied for promotions multiple times, only to be overlooked. It’s a dead-end job, and I regret my time here. There’s no work-life balance; they expect you to live for your job.

Dislikes

Managers just deflect questions about permanent positions. It’s a waste of time trying to get answers. Employees’ concerns are dismissed; HR does nothing to help. The workplace is filled with politics, making it difficult to focus on our jobs. I was promised career development, but there are no resources or programs available.

Poor management practices and a lack of direction lead to chaos. There’s no job security, and you’re always on edge. The lack of support from management in the HcSc project has made it impossible to succeed.

Dislikes

You're expected to be available 24/7 with no regard for personal time. I was frequently given tasks that were irrelevant to my skill set, leading to frustration and resentment. The annual reviews feel like a formality rather than a genuine evaluation of performance. The lack of direction from leadership made it impossible to succeed.

I felt like I was constantly being watched and scrutinized, which was incredibly demotivating.

Dislikes

Performance reviews are biased and unfair. The tools provided to do your job are outdated and often malfunction, making tasks even harder. —the leadership is clueless, and they allow harassment to go unchecked. The culture here is stifling, and there’s no encouragement for new ideas or innovation.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
