The company has favorites, and if you're not part of that inner circle, you’re left behind. Training and promotions are reserved for a select few. Clients expect miracles with impossible deadlines, and management does nothing to push back.

Dislikes

The management style is outdated, with little regard for employee welfare. Communication is poor across all levels, leading to confusion and frustration. I was promised a competitive salary but received an offer much lower than my expectations. Why even interview me? It's a struggle to get basic support or answers to questions.

The culture here is outdated and stifling. Innovation is not welcome. No clear goals, resulting in chaos and confusion in projects.

Dislikes

Projects are poorly managed, leading to missed deadlines and increased stress for everyone involved. I expected more from such a well-known brand—what a letdown. This job will leave you feeling unfulfilled and questioning your career choices. There’s no path forward here. They throw you into projects with zero relevant training. Good luck figuring things out on your own!

Training sessions are poorly organized and often canceled. You end up learning everything the hard way.

Dislikes

Communication from management is non-existent; you’re always left in the dark. There’s a serious lack of direction. It feels like they’re just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. There’s a lack of appreciation for employees. Hard work goes unnoticed, and morale is at an all-time low.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
