The direct writing manager who I was working under she was quite nice, her name was Priya.

When anyone joins a new job, they expect to get a buffer-period/cushion time, to get to know the work and understand it. However, at Gush I was given a week to catch up with their immensely overwhelming work-format. They think that because you are allowed to use ChatGPT, you can easily churn out 4500 words a day. And that too, they expect you to be up to speed in a week! They have their own AI-system that they expect you to use (so they can train it) and its absolutely crazy because it messes up your entire format and you have to spend an hour redoing all the formatting.
They never let me adjust to the environment, just when I was catching speed they shifted me to an extremely difficult client and expected me to catch up there as well. Even Psychologists say that you need minimum 2 weeks to a month to adjust to a new routine and even more time to thrive in it! When I have been writing without AI for 4 years, how do you expect somebody to change their process in a week or even a month. You need to give minimum 2 months (probation) to see their full potential. People can have bad days and even bad months, and that month my uncle died.
This company thinks that just because you are allowed to use chatGPT (which btw keeps crashing and has limitation cuz each company-package has a word limit) it must not take effort to research, humanize, fact check, tell GPT the tone again and again. At one point I quit using GPT because I felt like the amount of time it would take to copy paste stuff and humanize it, I can just write it on my own.
Also, this is a hire and fire company! They just called me one day and fired me, the HR who I had never talked to before fired me and that too brutally! I would rather be communicated and fired by the people that I actually knew in the company.
I even reached out to them and told them that my uncle has passed away because of which my speed was affected. Anyways, this is a hire and fire company - and if you don't believe me, then just visit their LinkedIn - they ARE LITERALLY HIRING ALL THE TIME. Why? because they keep hiring and firing.
Additionally, they thought that the notice period/Probation was just for them, not for the employees. If you give somebody notice period before firing - they get mentally prepared, just like when employee tells the company and the company prepares. If you gave 2 months probation in the offer letter, the employee assumes you are GETTING THOSE 2 MONTHS to demonstrate your ability, not getting fired in the middle! I literally had such a bad month my uncle literally passed away from a house-fire and I was under the impression that if I took any leaves then it would affect my probation and so I just kept suffering.
They also don't give any other perks besides the pay, no laptops, no nothing. I ordered a mouse for myself to get up to speed but it arrived after I got fired.
The HR that fired me, he was brutal. If the company has decided that they want to fire someone, there is nothing the employee (me) can say or do to stop it, but the LEAST you can expect is a POLITE TONE. Idk why he kept cutting me off....Read More
