I have grown so much here as a person and adult, though i am still 22. What makes it so special at Girl Power Talk is that we are all working together. As a startup, there is so much opportunity and lots change. I never wanted to be in MNC where I wont matter as much. Here my opinions are heard...not always agreed with but I am listened to..haha. I talk to our clients in the USA and Canada, not alone yet but group calls. I involved in our reels and content to build our brand from office. I cant say enough about how precious the culture is here! I am so proud of our progress. Today, I am actually someone confident who is not the girl who applied 2+ years ago. We also have started a school at our office for the kids who live locally and dont have access to education. Its called Umeed (hope). I love the social impact NGO part and never thought I would be able to purse that steam as well. So many real friends here and mentors (PS: I love Frankie Picasso from Canada who is our HR head. Our culture not for everyone. Its sad when people are kind and good and nice, but dont take the work seriously. We have to let them go eventually somtimes. I didnt understand this at first when a friend was let go...now I understand how you have to have standards. I think some people this is their first job and they dont know how itis elsewhere. In the past 10 years of my career, I have had the opportunity to work for various companies and experience different work cultures; my time at Girl Power Talk, however, has been the most fulfilling experience thus far. The company'shiring process involves screening applicants with a series of introspective questions before conducting any interviews. The carefully cultivated culture reflects this process, leading people to feel at home from the moment they join the company. Instead of merely meeting their immediate supervisor and co-workers, people from all levels of the organization reach out to welcome new hires. Furthermore, a designated "buddy" is assigned to assist with any queries or difficulties during the onboarding process. Another fantastic aspect of working at Girl Power Talk is the flexibility it offers. As a part-time worker, I have the freedom to complete my tasks during the hours which are most convenient for me. There are no limitations on availability as long as the work is completed before the deadline. Additionally, the company is very accommodating when it comes to sick days and vacation requests, and I am not aware of any instances in which they were denied. In fact, Girl Power Talk has provided me and other team members with several opportunities to travel; the company even funded a two-week, all-expenses-paid trip to their headquarters. The ease of career advancement is another remarkable aspect of working at Girl Power Talk. The management is dedicated to promoting the most productive team members and offers responsibility to young people who show enthusiasm and ability for their work. The diversity of the team members is also notable, with people from all over the world, varying ages, genders, and educational backgrounds.
