The culture is totally pretentious and false. Managers keep bullshitting with buzz words like advanced technology without having any clue of what they are talking about. Employees are expected just to keep churningout data by using various analysis softwares, essentially doing the dirty work for people in the US. No value or respect for actual subject experts, and thus many good people leave within few years and the incompetent ones rise to higher positions. Engineers are pretty good, but the work culture which is driven from organisation is really terrible. It's non other than others average product or service companies. GE is great name but it's not the case in India. Teammates are good, most of them are from India's reputed colleges. GE aviation does not provide any formal training, training will go in parallel with jobs. Yours job is not secure at all, you may be fired any time. You will do the same job after 15 years if somehow you survived since you was doing at the time of joining, only 1% employees will get promotion. Salary is competitive as for others mechanical MNCs, this is good where GE stands satisfactory. They will not allow traveling or on-site jobs as it incur much cost to company. Forget about work life balance, when pressure come from US, they will force you to work on any day. I already mentioned most about dislikes in like column. GE has been very big brand in college campus, but truth is entirely different at aviation, others business is good regarding work culture and WL balance, but aviation is pathetic. Salary hike is average 8% per year. Work wise it's again completely business driven, you have limited choices and choose among them, forget about yours personal interest. GE aviation is not employees focused at all now. Top management has become shoes licker of theirs bosses seated at US. Autonomy if you get a good manager. lot of complex tool with vast data, lot of opportunities to solve data problem differenly aws cloud exposure. lot technical trainings like GIDS, AWS. Transparency from leadership Flexibility to WFH beautiful green JFWTC campus yoy 10% hike and bonus as promised.

Technical competency. in a team 10% to 20% ge staff rest vendor-partner. top-management lacks technical leadership. lot of un necessary processes and tools. overwhelming management hierarchy, need to improvise on securing good software engineers.
