Gartner's USP is wealth of knowledge and the fame associated with the Analyst role. You get to talk to most prominent leaders across the world - all sectors including government.
Huge cultural gap - For example - European managers leading apac and american teams is a failing combination for the analyst role without having any cultural trainings and alignment. They fail to understand the cultural differences and similarities. There is a very low EQ level - almost zero which makes work very difficult even though analysts would love to work by themselves. Biggest problem is middle managers trying to tame and run their own rules across analyst life. There should only be domain leaders discussing work and opportunities - just too many old managers without any update on what is new and what is not - are just spoiling the work culture beyond repair. Example - German manager (T) in D&A team just don't have a level of understanding of employee sentiment and what goes around in their team. They don't have subject knowledge either just want to run the company as per their own wishes and fancies. They don't care if someone lives or dies. But when they are at fault they try to use emoticons and take the focus off the problem. These rules only apply to reportees not to themselves? huh? HR is absolutely a non-sense here - they just love the taste of the manager boo-ts and stay away from helping any associate - they are pathe_tic in terms of understanding the financial or mental problems.
