Everything that was good about Dell ended 2 years back. Nothing is good now.

No job security- frequent layoffs. They want to chase off people and not give severance, so they are trying everything in their power to make the employees more miserable and feel tortured from 5 days a week policy and no promotions. And from what I have heard extremely low or negligible salary hikes. The culture is extremely bad for a long term perspective and would take a toll on your mental health. Doesn't matter how much you work no promotion/Appraisals. I know people waiting for promotion more than 6 years. They change the working model as they please.
