1) Place is like a jail. Even jails are a better place than this 2) Cannot go outside once you are inside the building. 3) Compulsory 9hrs+ timings. 4) 0% Job security. 5) 0% help from management 6) All policies fixated on cutting salaries of employees. 7) Ridiculous policy of byod(buy your own device) , gets pressurized to buy Macs on terms that it will be reimbursed over period of 2 years upto 75% , but fires employees within 1-2 month of joining. 8) HR department totally not supportive. Hrs pressurize to work more than 12 hrs. 9) Alternate Saturday working. 10) No fixed teams , always migrating people from one team to another. 11) Even Guards tend to show so much attitude like passing disrespectful remarks and forcing to leave cafeteria if stayed a minute longer there. And when you reach out to HR regarding this , HR like a parrot starts scolding you for not coming early. 12) No sense of team culture . Toxicity at its max. 13) Salaries never given on time. Salaried gets credited after 10-15 days of next month. 14) Leaves are hardly approved. 15) If by chance you got late for work for even a minute , Guard will give you two options either apply for leave or go home. 16) Excessive mental torture. 17) Firing for no rational reasons. For eg. Some are fired for less worked hours even though there working hours are 10 hr/day , or sometimes manipulating that the person is unfit for the job. 18) One best thing is they fire indiscriminately, whether you are a senior member , whether you are a fresher , whether you are there for more than 2 years , whether you are here for , like recently , 19 days , whether you are the top contributor , or whether you are the least performer. You will be damn fired for no reason at all. 19) Salary cuts on a monthly basis is a new fashion here. People hired from prestigious colleges by luring attractive packages but after a month cutting 15% then 25% then 75% unnecessarily by stating not satisfactory with you performance. 20) No work life balance. 21) No Severance package or notice period or anything after firing employees. This is a long list and I hope you buckle your seat belt for this one. 1. All the existing employees think they are extremely smart and masters of the universe. Especially the CTO (current COO of the company), he thinks everybody else is the problem (or as he puts it, human problems) except for him. He has a penchant for shutting down companies because of his "incredible leadership skills" and Cogoport will be his next crown jewel. 2. Do you want your full salary to be paid on a regular basis? If the answer is hell naww, then Cogoport is hell yeah! They will deduct your salary on a monthly ratings basis which you will receive based on whether manager likes you or not (although they keep saying it's objective). A rating of <3 will get you 20% salary cut in the 1st month, 50% cut in 2nd and 75% in 3rd. Now isn't that goddamn wonderful? Also, you will get your salary in the middle of the month, and not like noob companies paying in the first week itself. 3. Top management has zero empathy, respect and courtesy towards employees and you will be made to feel like an idiot even after graduating from a Tier 1 college in India. So if you like to be insulted, Cogoport is your destination. 4. High work pressure is fine, but there is unnecessary pressure beyond that. The CTO checks working hours of every employee and points it out in front of everyone to ridicule you. According to him, productivity is directly proportional to working hours, and the more you stay in office even if you do nothing, the better worker you are. The CTO will randomly call you at his whim and fancy and insult you in front of everyone (sometimes behind your back). 5. Do you aspire to go to jail? Then Cogoport is your ideal workplace! You won't be allowed to leave the premises before the stipulated time of 6:30pm. You can't even leave your floor at designated times of the day and have to please the security guard in order to earn that right to movement. 6. If you don't want to do anything in your life and still earn money, being an HR rep at Cogoport is the way to go. You have no power, no responsibility, no decision making headache. Everything is dictated by the honourable CEO and COO, and HR just parrots it back to you, most of the time leaving huge space for ambiguity which results in confusion and frustration. 7. Why work peacefully and create a safe space for creativity to flourish when you can always feel threatened with being laid off for no damn reason. And then you WILL be laid off for a made up reason (could range from lower than average working hours even if it's beyond the manadated hours, or poor performance, or disinterest, or taking "too many" leaves), depending on whatever can be used against you. 8. Oh and do you want the company to invest in hardware like laptops? That ain't happening, suqqa! With Cogoport's "robust" BYOD policy, you can bring your own device, or be fooled to buy a high end MacBook from the company's vendor and be reimbursed just 75% of the amount of a basic model, in 24 MONTHS! The amazing salary cuts from the base component that the company provides. The lockin policy which keeps you secure from all calamities in the office premises, it was brought if there is a external attack on the company by the suppliers, the employees should be kept safe. They should bring more discipline among the employess, employess are asked not to clock more that 9 hrs, which is absolutely crime for a growth oriented company. Everyone should work for 90-100 a week. Ohhh They already are , my bad Empoyees should be only be judged only on working hrs and line of code and no of PRDs you have written.
