Culture of the company is good. The organization focuses on skill development and learning. Process oriented and people are accommodative. Salary is provide as per the market. Hike is better than other IT service organizations.

Dislikes

Most of the project are in the 2nd shift covering US and UK time zones. Currently the workhour is flexible otherwise it is 10 hours officially.

Visibility, Growth, Learning scope are very good here. having said all this, again its down to the project you are working in and will vary case to case

Dislikes

compensation to the long timers is not good. Appraisal cycle is from Jan-Dec, but revision is will happen only by the next year October., that too with a very nominal % hikes even for the best appraisal ratings.

I am very happy working with cognizant, only problem is the management doesn't concern about associates aspiration. There could be many reasons, but still there must be proper response for our concerns or aspirations.

Dislikes

They have a true time concept, which I didn't like. At the same time there is a learning tool, there you will not find any relevant learning's which suits your profile.

Long timers in Cognizant are so arrogant and they degrade you and your skills. Supervisors are biased and your rating will be based on that. Supervisor doesn't understand employee personal problems when explained. Career growth is not that great. Work culture is very bad.
