Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? Staff is good and helpful in various ways.

Dislikes

Top management is terrible here. Don’t have a basic etiquette to talk even. Actions are very slow on every thing then very fast to blame junior staff for delay in projects. No appreciation is there. Overall it’s not a company to work if you are seeking for settlement.
