I had worked with Robert Bosch for sometime and left due to issues with career growth and development. However, having worked with several organisations, Bosch always stood out on my resume as feather in my cap of experience. The organisation is a good, multinational company, it has done good for three generations as an employer in bangalore. The issue inside RB here in bangalore is that many managers who have worked there for several years are not capable to scale up as effective leaders in comparison to the outside world of bosch, or even in the local market in Bengaluru. They just cannot lead. If I needed direction on a certain area it was always that I had to look outside the company or in the industry. The second issue is that managers take things very personally. While I was very unhappy with my manager, cause I was very different in my outlook he took it very personally on me. There was no one to address issues faced by employees and managers, it became so bad that again I had to take help from my family and outside professionals to handle the whole situation, there were times I would not like to go to office. If you are smart with ideas and good knowledge, it may be good for you but it is a treat to your manager. Like I said bosch is a good company, but are the managers good enough, that is question no one addressed not even my boss's boss. I feel bad that I left bosch not because of being a good ethical organisation but managers cannot handle employee aspirations and development. It became so personal that even my religion was taken into the way I perceived and evaluted. This discouraged me alot, finally I left the organisation. Well not is always bad, while I did progress in my career my boss's inhuman and hostile treatment was not the end of everything. Dislikes
Managers should be accountable along with their employees for growth and development and every department or section head should review atleast once a year. Harrasment on basis of your reiligion is something that needs to be dealth with, as this effects the manager-employee relationship drastically
