Basically this is a civil base company, that's why I get opportunities to learning about civil Quality. I get opportunities working as a Quality-In charge for a high rise building project, composite steel structure that's a new design and engineering technology where I gather a huge skill and knowledge. I am only one Quality person to handling with client and contractor which a multinational company in India with maintaining the Quality Management System for a such type of new technology. As this is a basically civil base company, that's why company's management personnel's are purely civil base, they don't understand the purpose and activities of a Mechanical-Quality personnel. This is a big problem for proving himself in this company as a Mechanical-Quality personnel. Job is insecure as there are rare mechanical base project.

I am working as a Mechanical-Quality-In charge for a composite steel structure project. I maintain the Quality management system for this project as per ISO norms. I maintain all the activities as per approved QAP at project site.

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the managment is transparent. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and the give medium salary and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is very slow. On the job training is not given to new joinees.

The job is quite interesting! I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team
