Amazon is one of the best companies in terms of getting upskilled. It provides awesome opportunities to learn new technologies that might help us grow or change our career field. And also it provides a permanent work from home, that other companies should learn.

Dislikes

Amazon as a whole is definitely good and a super awesome company, but Amazon chennai is a place that a person should avoid if he/she is not a local or tamilian. You won't get the deserving promotions. Office politics is at its worst phase here. Work-life balance is almost negligible, and the salary is in peanuts for the people in non tech, in a span of 7-8 yrs you won't even be able to earn 5 thousand extra from the starting salary. But again Amazon technology offers a decent or high salary. If you are searching for a non-tech role just for salary and hoping to have a work life balance than rather go for other companies like Walmart or service based companies, but never choose Amazon. But if just want to learn and get upskilled then you must try for Amazon. If you are from Tamilnadu then the above points are not for you to apply in Amazon Chennai, you will pretty much get all the benefits of promotion and salary hike, but remember try to be the best bootlicker....Read More

I actually switched to other co. However, few of my friends were asked to leave the co. During laid off in 2022 dec Or 1st quater of 2203. I really feel pity even worlds largest co. Can't support their employees. Due to this reason I don't recommend Amazon at all.
