1. Subjective decisions based on leaders’ personal whims. Politics! Politics! And even more Politics! And the worst part is that they cover those up with fudged narratives and data points in front of senior leaders - e.g. giving credit for work done by person A when person B is the only person working on it, just because they preferA over B and want to get them promoted 2. Overgrown startup that is struggling to cope with growth on the infra side 3. Amazingly biased appraisal and promotion processes with no room for meritocracy - with top leaders leaving over the last 2 years, the next crop of leaders are incapable and lack vision not just on the business growth side but on people development side as well 4. Illogical talent related decisions recently - very short sighted 5. Used to be a customer backward working company but has turned 180 degrees and is in danger of being lost in the crowd of global firms that only care about money with zero focus on end consumers (again, very short sighted) 6. New set of leaders are incapable and try to cover up their inadequacies through irrational decisions that have zero logic and only focus on serving their own interests 7.
