Unrealistic deadlines which create pressure on employees Hard work is not generally appreciated as they expect you to slog Even after handing critical deliveries individually, my manager would say at appraisals "Kaam to sab hi karte hai, you need to do something extra". Like they giveyou time to do something extra If you say 'I will do this later' to anything because you are already loaded, they will treat you like an enemy, and will not shy away from passing comments and being rude Not sure about other projects, but my lead calls me 3-4 times a day asking me status on the tasks, even after we have met in the morning call and have given our status and there is also a daily in afternoon! I would call this micro-management If you are a new joiner, no matter how you perform, they will give you 3rd rating, and then reduce your appraisal percentage on a pro rata basis on the basis of months you joined. So there goes your first appraisal down the gutter! If you say that the scope is too much for the release, the upper management will say, "Sab same hi to hai pichli release jaise". It's Hell! 7-8 people keep calling me for their queries, my lead keeps calling me for updates, there are n number of meetings! And all this happens on a strict deadline, which drives you crazy!
