Promotion not on merit but on favouritism. Managers don’t talk about growth on IC level for their team and try to pull them down causing demotivation and eventually resignation of the team member.

Racist to the core. Team members as well. Always judged on my colour and too much pressure to perform extraordinary. Gobsmacked by the politics been played within the team and outside as well. Can’t express new ideas, disconnect with senior management

Employee quality - All employees are from tier 3 and below universities that you'll never have heard of, who joined Agoda because they couldn't clear an interview in any of the top tier companies. No skill or creativity. Not meant for people from top tier universities or companies. You'll feel lost if you've worked with big organizat ions in the past. <mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;"> Politics - This trumps all other aspects of work</mark>. You'll be encouraged by your manager to "put down the opposition". Too many meetings - and often pointless. It's more of a platform for people to blame each other than do something constructive. Rigid work ethic - They'd rather see the world burn than change for the better. Racism - Despite being a diverse environment, ethnic groups usually keep to themselves and are often competing with each other instead of working together. Low pay - Payscale in the IT sector in Thailand isn't high, so while Agoda pays more in comparison to companies in Thailand, companies in India and elsewhere pay more....Read More
